Cargo Securement
Description
This training has been developed so drivers are better able to understand the North American Cargo Securement Standard Regulations which is a cooperative program between the United States and Canada.
The new regulations require motor carriers to change the way they use cargo securement devices to prevent articles from shifting on or within, or falling from, CMVs.
The intent of the new regulation is to reduce the number of crashes caused by cargo shifting on or within, or falling from, CMVs operating in interstate commerce, and to harmonize to the greatest extent practicable United States, Canadian, and Mexican cargo securement regulations.
Note: This training covers provincial (Canada) and Federal (US) regulations. Local regulations may be more or less stringent.
Assessment: In order to receive a completion certificate for this course, you must achieve a score of 80% or higher.
